Catholic Schools Plan Update: March 2013
To the staff who work, the children who attend and parents who drop off and pick up children at St. Joseph’s School, a special thank-you for your efforts and patience during the kick-off of construction at St. Joseph’s. We have heard many positive comments from parents over the last week. The project is underway and we look forward to the new building evolving as we implement the Catholic Schools Plan.
To quote one the parents: My son just loves being greeted by you and the teachers at the beginning of each day as he gets out of the car. How many kids can say their principal opened their car door for them with a big smile saying good morning. He was quick to tell his grandparents and hockey team of this at practice. I can’t think of a more positive way for a child to start their day at school. He also just loved and I mean loved watching from afar the other day as the metal structure was taken down. He eagerly asked me when I picked him up if I knew there was a tool that could cut steel. There is so much learning to be done with this project and for the kids, at least mine, with great enthusiasm. He looks forward, as do I, for the construction of the building to start so he can “watch it grow”.
Have a wonderful Spring Break. It will be exciting to see the work accomplished during the two weeks we are away.
