Coats for Kids

It is with extreme pride that I announce a successful distribution for our Coats for Kids 2016 Campaign. On November 17 and 18, 2016, in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul Society of Vancouver Island, our team consisting of Thomas Aussenegg, Don and Ann Glas, Robert Strong, distributed just over 100 coats to children and families in need.
With the help of Supreme Council providing a subsidy of fifty percent of our eight boxes, we obtained coats of all sizes and styles for boys and girls from infants to 18 years old. With only a few coats remaining, we made these available to parish members if the need arises.
I wanted to thank you and the Knights once again for providing so many coats to people in need through the SCO. I can confirm that we’ve now given out our last coat, and they’re keeping lots of little ones warm through this cold snap. I look forward to working with all of you again next year! What a great group of guys you have serving the community!” ~ Colin Tessier, Director of Client Services, Saint Vincent de Paul of Vancouver Island
“What an amazing feeling to see the smiles on the children’s faces and know that we are helping the greater Victoria community.” ~ Ron Vincent, Grand Knight 13356
Our partnership with St. Vincent de Paul and the use of their facility made this a perfect fit for our program. A sincere thank you to Grant Croswell, Colin Tessier, and all the staff at St. Vincent de Paul.
