Coqualeetza Elders In the House!

Click here to download the Bishop's Blog.

Wednesday, October 1, 2014, the Coqualeetza Elders of the Fraser Valley arrived at the Diocesan Pastoral Centre to visit their long-time friend Bishop Gary Gordon. Mass and lunch were enjoyed by the Elders and Pastoral staff. It was a joyful reunion with many Elders from Bishop Gary’s former home in Chilliwack. The Elders had travelled to the Island to meet Elders from Tsawout and Cowichan to begin preparations for the July 2015 BC Elders Convention, which will bring together about 4,000 First Nations Elders from around BC.

A print by Charles Elioet (Tsawout) was presented by  Diocesan Chancelor Cynthia and Bishop Gary to members of the Coqualeetza Elders Executive. L to R: Viola Tait, Peter Lindley, Cynthia Bouchard-Watkins, Bishop Gary Gordon and Pearl Jackson
