Creating a truly just society

Recently in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, an amazing group of about 200 people gathered to explore the concepts of restorative justice at a conference titled ‘Building a Culture of Hope’.

The conference explored the sad reality of harm done to people because of crime, and went further to look at processes of reintegration and restoration for all those touched by crime. A fundamental question for restorative justice is “Who has been harmed?” rather than “What law has been broken?”

Healing families, communities and individuals creates a truly just society. When we take care of each other with grace and mercy, justice is truly served.
