Jesus is Risen ... He is Risen, Indeed!
The Way of the Cross up Mt. Tzouhalem in Duncan amidst the grey gloom of Good Friday morning gave way on Easter Sunday to a powerful celebration of God’s infinite love in the joy of the Resurrection of Jesus, in the communities of Gold River and Tahsis. Indeed, what abundant joy in these remote communities celebrating the Easter Mass late Sunday afternoon and evening. It has been some years since they have had the Easter Triduum. Fr. Jan traveled from Campbell River for Good Friday and I quickly departed through the side door of the Cathedral after 11am Mass in order to drive the 352 kilometres to the Northern part of our Diocese.
Our Diocese was abundantly blessed this Easter by having three of our priests (Fr. Dean, Fr. David and Fr. Harrison) travel to the Arctic North to provide the Easter mysteries in Cambridge, Bay Kukluguk, Dease Lake, Telegraph Creek and Iskut.
May we always announce the good news, “Jesus is Risen ... He is risen, indeed!”
Helping move some furniture in Tahsis on Easter Monday. The Risen Christ also gives new strength for new adventures.
