Proclaiming Jesus through communities of Shalom and mercy
On Friday, November 13, 2015, priests and staff of the Diocese of Victoria, Island Catholic Schools and parishes gathered at St. Edward’s parish in Duncan to hear Fr. Ray Carey speak about Shalom and mercy.
Fr. Carey is a priest from the Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon who holds Masters degrees in Theology and Counselling Psychology as well as a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He has taught at both the secondary and university levels and currently teaches at Mount Angel Graduate Seminary in Saint Benedict, Oregon.
An entertaining speaker whose words were profound and meaningful, Fr. Carey shared his experiences and personal stories with us as examples of the key principals of ethics, and graced us with his caring heart.
