The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is an annual ecumenical celebration when Christians around the world are invited to pray for the unity of all Christians. During this week of prayer, Christians are encouraged to gather to reflect on Scripture, to participate in jointly organized ecumenical services, and to share in fellowship.

This year, gatherings held in the Diocese included a musical service, Songs for Unity: Celebrating the Week for Christian Unity Through Music at Holy Cross Parish, Gordon Head Road. The week ended on Sunday, January 28, with a beautiful Liturgy of the Word at St. Andrew’s Cathedral celebrated by Anglican Bishop, the Right Reverend Dr. Logan McMenamie and Bishop Gary Gordon.

Similar celebrations were held at Holy Family/Notre Dame Parish by Rev. Harrison Ayre, who was joined by Rev. Brenda Kroll of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, concluding with fellowship.
