In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Catholic Teaching Overview

Down the ages, through the successors to the Apostles, the Church has cherished her Heritage of Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture and shares this Good News for the wellbeing and spiritual benefit of the world. The Catechism of the Catholic Church is a statement of the Church's faith and of Catholic doctrine, attested to or illuminated by Sacred Scripture, the Apostolic Tradition and the Church's Magisterium.  The Catechism is meant to support ecumenical efforts and is offered to every individual who asks us to give an account of the hope that is in us, or who wants to know what the Catholic Church believes.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church arranges the articles of the Faith in four parts:

  1. Creed - The Profession of Faith
  2. Sacraments - The Celebration of the Christian Mystery
  3. Morality - Life in Christ
  4. Prayer - Christian Prayer
