Christine Gillespie
St. Edward the Confessor Parish, Duncan

Christine and her husband, Peter, arrived in Prince George as Lay Apostles from England in 1970. In 1972, they moved to Duncan and joined St. Edward’s Parish where her voluntary time commitment and outstanding dedication to the parish, Queen of Angel's School, and the community, blossomed.

Christine studied music and after receiving her Music Degree, and having been a Lay Apostle, Christine naturally gravitated to and became very involved with the Music Ministry at St. Edward’s, joining the choir in 1972, becoming the organist, pianist, and the choir director. Christine also actively volunteered in the local Duncan Music community, presently as a pianist and organist for community organizations such as the Duncan Senior Choir, various Retirement Homes, and has been very involved with the B.C. Music Festival at the local level. Through her example, voluntary time commitment, and outstanding dedication to St. Edward's Parish, Queen of Angel's School and the Community in general, Christine continues to inspire parishioners through song and deed.
