Doreen & Fred Keizer
St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Victoria

Doreen and Fred have been active members of St. Joseph the Worker Parish for 30 years. Married for more than 50 years, they have two adult children.

Doreen and Fred have led the RCIA, and served in the soup kitchen at St. Andrew's Cathedral for 30 years. Together, for 27 years, they have led prayer services at the William Head prison, and supported members who are on parole. In the parish, Fred has been on the Pastoral Council, and Doreen has served as a member of the Catholic Women's League. Both are Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, who minister to the Sunset Lodge Care Home regularly. Along with her work at the parish, Doreen has also been team leader for the Girl Guides for more than 25 years.

Doreen and Fred have given their time and talent tirelessly and generously to the Church and to the community whenever asked; bringing God's love to those with whom they meet and work.
