John Mochrie

John Mochrie has offered his professional expertise and wealth of knowledge to assist the entire Diocese through his ongoing service on a variety of boards and committees. John Mochrie was a member of the Diocesan Finance Committee from 2001 to 2005 and then took on the role as Chairman from 2005 to 2011. The ten years John dedicated to the Diocesan Finance Committee provided stability, structure, and ongoing attention to financial liquidity and good governance through the changing of two bishops, and two Diocesan Financial Administrators. John was on the Audit Committee from 2006 to 2017, served on the Schools’ Strategic Planning Committee from 2007 to 2009, and more recently was part of the Diocesan negotiating team for the Island Catholic Schools Teachers’ contract. John also served as a Trustee on the Diocesan Employee Pension from 2001 to 2008, and again from 2015 to the present.

As a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Parish, John has served as a member and chairman of the Parish Pastoral Council and Parish Finance Committee, a member of St. Vincent de Paul, the Pastoral Care team, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and St. Patrick’s Refugee Committee. John has also served as a member of the Marie Esther Society for Mount St. Mary Hospital and on the St. Andrew’s Elementary School Council.
