Lillian Budac
St. Andrew's Cathedral, Victoria

Lillian, from Fort St. John, moved to Victoria in the 1980s and was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish before joining St. Andrew’s Cathedral.

Lillian has served as leader of the Children’s Ministry for over a decade, dedicating herself tirelessly to the children and families of the parish, including coordinating and leading the weekly Children’s Liturgy at the 9:30 am Sunday Mass, the Good Friday Family Service, and the Stations of the Cross, ensuring the children and the youth of the parish are involved. Lillian also organized the children’s Christmas Pageant on Christmas Eve, which has become a beloved Christmas tradition for parishioners of all ages.

Each year, Lillian gives a week of her vacation time to the children and families of the parish as leader of the Summer Bible Camp. She puts in countless hours to planning and leading these camps; coordinating the supplies, transportation, and dozens of adult and youth volunteers. This is all the more significant as Lillian lives in the Western Communities and relies on public transportation to travel to and from these activities. Through this selfless sacrifice, dedication, and through encouraging and developing youth Lectors, Lillian has inspired many children to participate in the Liturgy.
