Lois Hobbs
Our Lady of Grace, Salt Spring Island

In 1990, Lois moved to Salt Spring Island with her late husband, Michael. Together, both were instrumental in the building of a new rectory for the Parish, attending to every detail of the project. Over the years, Lois served Our Lady of Grace Parish quietly and unassumingly on the Pastoral Council, with the Finance Committee, as a volunteer in the Parish Office, as the Catholic Women's League (CWL) Spiritual Conveyor, and as Liturgy Committee Chair. She has spent untold hours preparing the church for Liturgical celebrations, and on spiritual programs for CWL meetings.

As an Oblate Associates Coordinator, Lois lives the mission of serving the Church and the community in the footsteps of St. Eugene de Mazenod. Lois continues to contribute to the parish community in many ways, including transporting seniors to Mass, and helping with coffee on Sunday mornings; doing her best to make life in the small parish thrive.
