Submissions for Publication

Articles should be no more than 400 words, unless directed differently by the Editor. To suggest a feature article please email

  • Articles should be submitted in Word or Pages via email to
  • Use single spaced paragraphs with no indentation at the beginning of any paragraph
  • For the most part, Canadian Press standards apply. Quick reference:
  • No Oxford comma except where required for clarity
  • One space between sentences
  • Single quotes are used for identifying an unusual word or phrase; punctuation goes outside the quote marks
  • Double quotes are used to denote a quote or conversation; the quote should be preceded by a comma and punctuation goes inside the quote at the end
  • Do not use underlining or bold type anywhere in the heading or body of your article
  • Use italics for emphasis within a paragraph or sentence
  • Capitalize the male pronoun ‘he’, ‘him’, ‘his’ when it refers to God and not when it refers to Jesus
  • Italics are used for foreign words or phrases the first time the word or phrase occurs only
  • Italics are used for titles of books, movies, songs and other copyright materials
  • Photographs should be high resolution (more than 1MB) and information about photo credit must be provided
  • A byline must be provided with title if appropriate: *i.e., by Redfern Spindleshanks, Chair, Parish Council*
