Bishop Gary Gordon has, in consultation with the Priest Personnel Committee, made the following pastoral appointments and ministry changes:
Effective June 4, 2018
- Fr. William Hann, Pastor of Holy Cross Parish in Victoria, will be on sabbatical until February 1, 2019.
- Fr. Karam Alraban, Assistant Priest at Holy Cross Parish, appointed Administrator while Fr. Hann is on sabbatical.
- Fr. Sean Flynn, Pastor of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Mill Bay, will be on loan to provide pastoral ministry in the Diocese of Whitehorse. Fr. Stephen Paine and Fr. Jose Prakash will assume ministerial responsibility for the Parish in the interim.
Effective July 2, 2018
- Fr. Marinaldo Batista, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Victoria, on loan from the Diocese of Campo Mourao, and a member of the Campagnia di San Paolo (Company of St. Paul CSP), has been reassigned by his community to a parish in the United States.
- Fr. Eduardo Santo, Pastor of St. Patrick's Parish in Victoria, on loan from the Archdiocese of Porto Alegre, Brazil, appointed Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Parish with responsibility for the Portuguese speaking and the Latin American community.
- Fr. Bernardo Injou Lee, retired from the Archdiocese of Toronto, appointed Administrator of St. Patrick's Parish in Victoria, and Bishop's Delegate to St. Patrick's School.
- Fr. Jose Prakash, Pastor of St. Ann's in Duncan, on loan from the Diocese of Bellary, has been reassigned by his Bishop and will return to his home Diocese in India.
- Fr. Devane Sam, new to the Diocese of Victoria and on loan from the Diocese of Bellary in India, appointed Pastor of St. Ann's Parish in Duncan.
