We have 3 items to share with you today:
1) Deacon Joseph Yuson, a seminarian for the Diocese of Victoria, will be ordained to the Ministerial Priesthood on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Victoria. All are invited to participate in Deacon Joseph’s ordination Mass, either in person at St. Andrew’s or via the livestream at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MulLFNXUEkI. A reception will follow the ordination at St. Andrew’s Regional High School (880 McKenzie Ave, Victoria). Your prayers for Joseph and his intentions are appreciated as he prepares for service as a ministerial priest to the People of God in the Diocese of Victoria.
2) The Society of Saint Vincent De Paul Vancouver Island is a non-profit organization dedicated to living the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy. They are seeking a volunteer Treasurer to join their Board. 3) The Diocese of Victoria is participating in an international research project about how religious communities experienced the COVID-19 pandemic. All parishioners are invited to complete an anonymous online questionnaire about your experiences during the pandemic. For more information and to access the questionnaire, please visit https://www.research.net/r/covidandreligion. The final deadline to complete the questionnaire is June 30, 2024.
