Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Fr. Frank Franz, who died following a brief illness on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Royal Jubilee Hospital with his sister Ardene by his side. He was 78 years old.
Fr. Frank was born in Gimli, Manitoba and was ordained in 1985 for the Diocese of Winnipeg. He was incardinated in the Diocese of Victoria in 1999, and served in a number of parishes and roles until his retirement in 2012.
According to his wishes, Fr. Frank will be buried in his family’s cemetery plot in Gimli. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, December 4, at 10:00 am at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Victoria (740 View St), with Bishop Gary presiding.
