We have three items to share with you today:
1) All are invited to the 2024 Diocesan Faith Day: “A Conversation in the Spirit”. Our keynote speaker is Linda Staudt, one of the seven laypeople in North America chosen by Pope Francis to serve as a voting participant in Synod 2021–2024. She will share her reflections on the Synod and synodality, and lead us througha discernment method rooted in prayer, listening, and silence. The Faith Day will be held on Saturday, November 23 from 9:30 am – 3 pm at St. Edward’s Church in Duncan. 2) The local Indigenous Reconciliation Fund is now accepting grant applications. Indigenous groups from Vancouver Island and the surrounding islands are encouraged to apply for funding for projects and initiatives that foster good medicine for people harmed by the legacy of residential schools. The application deadlines for this round of funding are November 15 2024, February 15 2025, and May 15 2025.
3) Our Lady of the Rosary Roman Catholic Parish in Langford is seeking a full-time administrative assistant to support the Pastor and parish. Applicants must be well organized with exceptional time management skills and proficient with computer skills including working in Publisher.
