It was a night of energy and excitement, and by the time the last guest had departed we had raised $70,300—exceeding our fundraising goal by more than $10,000!

Our 4th Annual Bishop's Gala opened with a champagne reception, as friends and family mingled and enjoyed the delicious appetizers provided by Casa Nova Catering. Emcee Fr. Dean Henderson's witty repartee encouraged attendees to participate wholeheartedly in the celebrations, and Fr. William Hann honked his way to am astounding pot of $500 for the 50-50 draw!

Dinner was preceded with an opening prayer by the Ahousaht band, which featured drumming, singing, and dancing, and the evening was off to a fine start. Chief Greg Louie shared his appreciation for our efforts. From the crowds at the silent auction tables to the delicious buffet dinner served by Casa Nova, the evening sparkled with enthusiasm and generosity.

Our deep thanks go out to all those who made this evening so successful.

With gratitude,

2019 Bishop’s Gala Organizing Committee
