News from the Chancery is published each week to share information and upcoming events with the people of the Diocese of Victoria.
We have three items to share with you today:
1) Our Garry Oak Ecosystem Restoration Project has come to a close for 2024. A big thank you to the dozens of volunteers who helped remove invasive plants from the properties of St. Andrew’s Regional High School, Sacred Heart Parish, and the Diocesan Pastoral Centre. To view a gallery of images from the project, please visit https://www.rcdvictoria.org/diocesanblog/gratitude-for-our-garry-oak-ecosystem-restoration-team.
2) On Wednesday, November 13, Bishop Gary will celebrate a Mass of Remembrance for the clergy and religious who served in our Diocese who have died in the past year. The Mass will be held at noon; all are invited to participate, either in person at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Victoria (740 View St), or via the Diocesan livestream at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px1A6RN4AXE.
3) The Roman Catholic Diocese of Victoria is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant. The candidate will bring extensive accounting experience along with their professional approach to the Finance Department. This position would suit an individual who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and enjoys dealing with a wide variety of people of different ages, backgrounds and cultures.
