  • sat, november 22, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
  • Sacred Heart Parish (4040 Nelthorpe St, Victoria) & St. Andrew's Regional High School (880 McKenzie Ave, Victoria) (map)

All are welcome to attend the Diocese of Victoria's annual Faith Day!

The day will begin with Mass at 9:00 am at Sacred Heart Parish (4040 Nelthorpe St, Victoria, BC V8X 2A1). At 10:00 am, the day will proceed at St. Andrew's Regional High School (880 McKenzie Ave, Victoria).

Our guest speaker this year will be Dr. Erin Barisano, Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Orange in California, speaking on "The Active Silence."

The Active Silence invites you to step away from daily demands and embrace the rest called for during this Jubilee Year of Hope. The day is dedicated to personal renewal through contemplation—learning to find and hold a space of inner stillness even when the work around us is active. We will explore the importance of integrating silence into the rhythm of your everyday life, allowing it to become the source that deepens your own faith and re-energizes your commitment to mission.

There will also be a facilitated panel discussion with Dr. Erin Barisano, Kathryn Lacerte (General Manager of the Moose Hide Campaign), and Bishop Gary Gordon, and a Listening Circle process of reflection on the day.

Date: Saturday, November 22, 2025
Time: 9:00 am (Mass at Sacred Heart), 10:00 am–3:00 pm (speaker session, panel discussion, & Listening Circles at St. Andrew's Regional High School)
