Bishops Appeal

A MESSAGE FROM

Bishop Gary Gordon

Christ calls each of us to be a light for others. Learn how your generosity helps bring hope, support, and the Gospel to communities near and far.

BE THE LIGHT

Support the 2026 Bishop's Appeal

Your generosity helps bring Christ's light to our parishes, missions, communities, and to those in need locally and around the world.

Tahsis-1

Local Missions

Sustains the vital work of our Mission churches as they bring the Gospel to some of the most remote communities on Vancouver Island, providing essential support for operating expenses, maintenance, pastoral leadership, and religious ministry.

St. Edwards BBQ

Community & Relationship Building

Creates opportunities to share and deepen our faith through parish and school grants that strengthen outreach, community connection, and spiritual growth.

St Peters

Parish Portion

Strengthens parish life by allowing each community to direct its share of the Appeal toward a meaningful local project chosen by pastoral and parish leadership.

Yukon Church

Diocese of Whitehorse

Supports our twinned Diocese in northern Canada to bring pastoral care, sacraments, and outreach to remote and often challenging environments.

Newman Theological College

Vocations/Clergy/Religious Support

Nurtures the formation and spiritual growth of clergy and pastoral leaders, present and future, while honouring and caring for retired priests and religious sisters who have faithfully served our Diocese.

ACN Lebanon

Global Church in Need

Through Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), your gift supports people in Lebanon who have been displaced by war. Funds from the Bishop’s Appeal help the Maronite Catholics of Sidon provide food and hope to 7,500 people in their darkest hours.
