News from the Chancery is published each week to share information and upcoming events with the people of the Diocese of Victoria.

We have 5 items to share with you this week:

1) Bishop Gary Gordon has written a message to the People of God in the Diocese of Victoria on the occasion of Easter 2024.  The message may be viewed online at

2) Our Lady of the Rosary Parish is holding an outdoor walking Stations of the Cross on Good Friday.  The Way of the Cross will begin at 10 am the base of Mount Tolmie in Victoria (Cedar Hill Road and Gordon Head Road) and will conclude at the top.  All are welcome.

3) All are invited to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Victoria Spring Retreat, which is being held April 6-7 at St. Patrick’s Parish in Campbell River.  Presenters from Victoria, Edmonton, and Leduc, AB will offer sessions including​The Promises of God,​ Gen Z and Faith, and​ Prayer as Personal Relationship with Jesus.  The $35 registration fee includes all meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.  For more information, please visit ​​or email Joelle Dressler, Director of Faith Formation and Evangelization, at ​ ​Please note that the registration deadline is Monday, April 1st.

4)  Registration is now open for the 10th​Annual Family Life Conference and Camp, to be held August 15th​– 18th​at Nanoose Bay. ​All families are invited to enjoy this weekend full of fellowship, faith and fun!
