September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The 4th annual South Island Powwow, held on the same day, offers an opportunity to honour Residential School Survivors and their families in the spirit of truth and reconciliation.
Through song and dance, the powwow celebrates the strength, culture, and resilience of Indigenous Peoples—while holding space for those who never made it home.
