The Bishop's Appeal Supports:

Missions and Outreach

As part of the Mission Outreach initiative, St. Joseph the Worker Parish paired with St. Ann’s Parish in Duncan.  Funds raised by St. Joseph’s for the Annual Bishop’s Appeal were presented to the parish by Father Alfredo Monacelli.

Greetings of peace!

“The donation coming from St. Joseph the Worker Parish was a surprising blessing. Thanks be to God!

When the financial support from an organization, intended for the Children and Youth Program was discontinued, we were thinking on how to go about it since we need at least $175-200/month for the materials and food for the kids.

Luckily, Fr. Alfie came and handed over the donations. Now we can support not only the Children and Youth Program but also include some operations of our parish like Faith Formation and Sunday catechism for children.

As a mission church, we are so grateful for the untiring help coming from the different parishes of our Diocese.”

Local Parish Projects

When you support the Bishop's Appeal, you are supporting your own parish project that is unique to each parish.

Sacred Heart Parish Appeal Projects:

Donation to Anawim House on March 3, 2021

As part of the “giving” and “sharing” of the Bishop's Appeal, Sacred Heart Faith Community was able to make a donation to Anawim House. This donation toward their operating costs will allow Anawim to continue supporting people that want to make positive changes in their lives to live the life they deserve.

With the 80% of the Appeal Funds, our parish was able to clear and control the overgrown brush and invasive weeds on the perimeter of the property.

The Church of the Ascension – Parksville

The proceeds from our Bishop's Appeal 2020 were dedicated to the building of a Grotto dedicated to Our Lady of Grace. Additional funds to purchase a statue for the grotto were generously contributed by Rosemary and Tito Fonenla.
