1) This year’s first Women of Faith and Fellowship Prayer Breakfast is scheduled for February 8 at the Horseshoe Club of Victoria, featuring guest speaker Marilyn Grant from Madonna House. This in-person event is a wonderful opportunity to come together in community with women of faith for a morning of inspiration, connection, and delicious food. 2) St. Joseph’s School is hosting a free parent presentation with local registered clinical counsellor Shannon Husk on Tuesday, February 11th, from 7–8 pm. The topic, "Digital Health: Helping Our Children and Youth Navigate the Digital World," will provide valuable insights for parents. 3) All are invited to join Catholic schools across Vancouver Island in celebrating Catholic Schools Week from February 2–8, 2025. This year’s theme, "Living, Celebrating, and Proclaiming Our Faith," highlights the vibrant role of Catholic education in nurturing faith-filled communities. 4) Join us from February 2–8 in marking National Catholic Health Care Week, celebrating the mission of Catholic health care in building a just and caring society where all are seen and heard. The 2025 theme, “Caring for our Common Home,” highlights the interconnectedness of creation and calls us to reflect on how our actions and systems can support a thriving, healthy world. 5) The next application deadline for the local Indigenous Reconciliation Fund is coming up on February 15. Indigenous groups from Vancouver Island and the surrounding islands are invited to apply for funding for projects that foster good medicine for people harmed by the legacy of residential schools.
