The 79th Annual CWL Provincial Convention was held June 18–20, 2026, in Sidney, British Columbia, raising a generous $1,359.22 in support of the Lions Food Bank.
The CWL National theme for 2026 is "Ignite Your Passion, Empower His Mission", paired with the two-year national focus of "Blessed are the Poor". As the hosting parish, members of the Saanich Peninsula Catholic Women’s League selected the Lions Food Bank as the beneficiary of the convention Friday's mass collection, in recognition of its vital service to "the poor in our community" individuals and families in need throughout the Saanich Peninsula and surrounding area.
