September 22–26, 2025, marks the annual Plenary Assembly of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), a solemn and momentous event in the life of the Church in Canada. The Plenary brings together the members of the CCCB from across Canada for discussion on a broad range of topics affecting the Catholic faithful in Canada.
The meeting also includes reports from the CCCB’s various commissions and committees, as well as the President’s annual report and an address by the Apostolic Nuncio. Your Eminences, Brother Bishops, distinguished guests, and members of the CCCB staff, to the members of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, I present the President’s Report, which summarizes the activities and achievements of the Conference since our last Plenary Assembly at Mont Ste-Anne in 2024. I wish first to acknowledge and sincerely thank the members of the Permanent Council, the Executive Committee, the General Secretariat, and the staff of the CCCB for their dedicated work on behalf of the Conference.
